Counter-Notice Requirements

To submit a valid counter-notice, the Respondent must include:

  • Their name, address, phone number, and email address.
  • Sufficient information to identify the material that was removed.
  • A statement confirming that they believe, in good faith, the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  • A statement confirming that the information in the counter-notice is accurate.
  • An agreement to submit to the jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.

Please Note: Under the Copyright Act, making false statements in a takedown notice or counter-notice can lead to legal consequences, including potential damages and fines up to $10,000, or imprisonment for up to 2 years.
